Day 1: Arrival Johannesburg
Arriving in Johannesburg, you’ll have the evening to settle into your accommodation. After checking in, take a relaxed evening to explore the area, perhaps enjoy a quiet dinner at one of the city’s vibrant restaurants, before heading to bed for an early start the next day.
Day 2 – 4: Kruger National Park
On the second day, start with a morning flight to Kruger National Park, where you’ll spend the next three nights. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and then embark on your first game drive. Kruger’s vast landscapes are home to the Big Five, so be on the lookout for elephants, lions, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, enjoy a peaceful dinner at your lodge, surrounded by nature.
The following two days are dedicated to exploring Kruger. Each day will include early morning and late afternoon game drives, when animals are most active. During the midday heat, take a break at the lodge to relax by the pool, enjoy a spa treatment, or learn more about the park through informative talks from your guides. With expert guides at your disposal, you’ll have the chance to spot incredible wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species.
Day 5 – 8: Explore Cape Town
On the fourth day, take a morning flight from Kruger to Cape Town. Arriving in the Mother City, check into your accommodation, and then head out to explore the V&A Waterfront. This vibrant area offers shopping, dining, and entertainment. You might also take a leisurely stroll along the harbour and enjoy the stunning views of Table Mountain.
The next two days are packed with exploration in Cape Town. Begin with a visit to Table Mountain, where you can take the cable car up to enjoy panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscapes. In the afternoon, visit the famous Boulders Beach to see the penguins, then take a scenic drive around Cape Peninsula, stopping at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. On the second day, explore the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and enjoy a leisurely lunch at Groot Constantia Wine Estate.
Day 9: Drive to Hermanus
In the morning start your day with a drive to Hermanus. Known for its whale watching, especially during the migration season, Hermanus offers scenic coastal views, walking trails, and beautiful beaches. You can take a boat tour or simply enjoy the charming atmosphere of this seaside town.
Day 10 – 12: Garden Route
Travel to Knysna, a picturesque town along the Garden Route. Explore the town’s lagoon by boat, and take time to enjoy a peaceful walk through the Knysna Forest. Visit the Knysna Heads for stunning coastal views and enjoy fresh local seafood at one of the town’s waterfront restaurants. Over the next two days, make a trip to Plettenberg Bay for its beaches and Robberg Nature Reserve, and explore Tsitsikamma National Park with its dramatic coastline and forested landscapes. In the evenings, unwind with a scenic dinner and soak in the serene surroundings.
Day 13: Departure
