Day 1: Kalahari Namibia
Arrival at Windhoek International Airport. You will be met by a driver and transferred to the car hire office. Pick up the hire car and drive to Windhoek.
Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to explore Windhoek.
Windhoek is a modern city, but there are still many monuments and old, venerable buildings that are reminiscent of the German colonial era a hundred years ago.
The city is surrounded by the Auas Mountains to the south, the Eros Mountains to the north and the Khomas Highlands to the west. Then continue via Rehoboth in the direction of Mariental to Kalahari Anib Lodge.

Day 2: Kalahari Namibia to Sesriem
Breakfast and the journey continues south via Maltahöhe to Sossusvlei Lodge.
On the way, the marvelous landscapes on the Namib Rand give us an idea of what awaits us over the next few days: incredible expanses of the Namib Desert with isolated inselbergs and dune landscapes.

Day 3: Sesriem
Early in the morning, we drive to the sand dunes of Sossusvlei.
We walk up to the 350 metre high dunes, the ‘natural wonder of Sossusvlei’ – we walk through the dunes. The gorge of the Sesriem Canyon is particularly impressive.
We relax by the pool and let the marvelous experiences sink in again.

Day 4: Sesriem to Swakopmund
Breakfast and you head to the coast to Swakopmund.
Drive through the endless scree plains of the Namib Desert via the Gaub Pass and the Kuiseb Pass. We reach Swakopmund in the afternoon. This small, pretty coastal town has many beautiful buildings from the German colonial era. You will see the Hohenzollern House, the Woermann Tower, the jetty, the pier with lighthouse and the naval monument as well as other art nouveau buildings.
The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, adventure opportunities, relaxed atmosphere and cool sea breeze make it a favorite destination in Namibia. Visitors can look forward to a range of exciting activities: quad biking, horse riding, paragliding, fishing, sightseeing and fascinating desert tours.

Day 5: Swakopmund
You spend the day on the coast. In the afternoon you have time to get to know Walvisbay or Swakopmund, 30 kilometres away
A visit to the museum, where the history and different cultures of Namibia are vividly presented, is certainly worthwhile. The marine aquarium and the snake park are also interesting.

Several operators run boat cruises from Walvis Bay geared towards dolphin, seal and whale watching, but also offering visitors the chance to experience the region’s natural beauty and phenomenal bird life.

Day 6: Swakopmund to Okonjima Nature Reserve
Today’s journey takes you to Okonjima Ranch. Enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way.
Okonjima is the headquarters of the AfriCat Foundation, where projects with cheetahs and leopards are carried out.
From our bungalow you have a beautiful view of the savannah and a waterhole where wild animals often quench their thirst. There are also around 250 bird species on Okonjima. At Okonjima, we indulge ourselves in the midst of the African bush.
In the afternoon you can take part in a game drive, either to the cheetahs or in search of a leopard (optional and not included in the price).

Day 7: Okonjima Nature Reserve
Today you can relax by the pool and let the many experiences of your trip sink in.
You can take part in the lodge’s activities – a cheetah stalk or an excursion where you might even get to see a leopard (not included in the price).
Enjoy the evening in the wilderness of Namibia.

Day 8: Departure
After an eventful holiday, it is unfortunately time to say goodbye to Namibia today. We drive to the international airport in time for our return flight.
