Day 1 – Havana Airport / City
Arrival in Havana, the capital with its ancient charm and the economic/cultural center of Cuba. Meet our representative. Transfer and check-in at the booked accommodation. Evening at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 – Havana
Breakfast. Departure for a 3-hour panoramic City Tour in a vintage American car; these cars, left on the island after the 1959 revolution, are part of Cuba’s landscape, all colourful and with unique charm. Walking tour of the historic center: visit to the Bodeguita del Medio with included cocktail, external visit to the Museum of the Captains Generals.
External visit to the Castillo del Morro and the Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña, located at the entrance to the port. Lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the accommodation for overnight. Evening at leisure.
Day 3 – Havana / Pinar del Rio / Viñales / Havana
Breakfast. Departure to Pinar del Rio. Arrival at “Finca la Guabina”, one of Cuba’s most exclusive horse farms, famous for its “Pinto” stallions, located in an area surrounded by mountains, valleys, and a lagoon. Tasting of a cocktail and lunch at a local restaurant. Departure for Viñales; stop at the Mirador de Los Jazmines, a panoramic spot to admire the valley.
Panoramic view through the Viñales Valley and entrance to the surprising Mural de la Prehistoria, located on the natural wall of Mogote Pita in the Sierra de los Órganos; it was created from a design by artist Leovigildo González Morillo, aimed at representing the evolutionary process of life from his point of view. The mural is 120 meters long and is the largest open-air painting in the world.
Visit to the Cueva del Indio, considered one of UNESCO’s wonders, a cave formed by solid limestone formations with galleries named after famous characters; it is partly visited on foot and partly by boat along an underground river. Return to Havana. Overnight.
Day 4 – Havana / Guama / Cienfuegos
Breakfast and departure to Boca de Guamà. Visit to the ”Fiesta Campesina” farm to appreciate the natural beauty of the Zapata Peninsula. Visit to the Guamà tourist center. Visit to the ”Criadero de Cocodrilos”, a crocodile farm where you can observe over 4,000 specimens. You will be guided through all stages of the breeding program aimed at improving their quality of life. Lunch at a local
restaurant.
After lunch, continue to Cienfuegos, located in a bay dominated by the Castillo de Jagua (1742); it is one of Cuba’s most important cities, especially for trade, and its beauty is so extraordinary that Cubans call it the ”Pearl of the South”. Arrival and panoramic City Tour. Check- in and overnight at the booked accommodation.
Day 5 – Cienfuegos / Trinidad
After breakfast, departure for Trinidad, one of the first cities founded by the Spanish in the 16th century and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988. Arrival and visit to the Palacio Cantero to learn about the history of Trinidad through documents, artworks, and other objects. Stop at Bar “La Canchanchara” for a tasting of the region’s typical cocktail, considered the oldest in Cuba, made with rum, lime, honey, water, and ice, served in a terracotta cup.
Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to the Valle de los Ingenios (sugarcane-growing region) and visit the Manaca Iznaga Tower. After the visit, continue to Trinidad. Check-in and overnight at the booked accommodation.
Day 6 – Trinidad / Santa Clara / Remedios
After breakfast, transfer to Santa Clara, known as the ”Liberal City” for its role in the struggles for independence and the Cuban Revolution, which have given it historical and cultural significance essential for understanding Cuba. Arrival and walking City Tour with a panoramic visit to the impressive Mausoleum dedicated to Ernesto Che Guevara (closed on Mondays), where the members of his commando and Che Guevara himself are buried. Visit to the Museum of the Armored Train, featuring the authentic train seized by the rebels during the Cuban Revolution in
December 1958.
Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to Remedios, one of the most authentic colonial cities in the country. Arrival and visit to the city’s historic center, where you will admire the Baroque Church of San Juan Bautista, which houses statues of significant artistic value. Check-in and overnight stay in Remedios (or Santa Clara).
Day 7 – Remedios / Cayo Santa Maria
After breakfast, departure for Cayo Santa Maria. Arrival at the booked hotel. Check-in and all- inclusive stay at the hotel.
