Day 1 – Flight to Kota Kinabalu
Arrived at Kota Kinabalu Airport by flight (Kindly Advice Flight Tickets), meet and transfer to Horizon Hotel or you overnight stay. [No Meals]
Day 2 – Island Exploration
0730HRS – 1430HRS
Pick up from Horizon Hotel and Depart to Sutera Marina Jetty. [Breakfast]
Spend a day of sun, sea, and sand on an offshore coral island. Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the jetty for a 30-minute boat ride to one of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park islands for a day of relaxation on your own. Remark: The scheduled boat transfer depart to the island is at 0815HRS. Guest must arrive at Marina Jetty latest by 0800HRS.
1015HRS – Proceed with another boat transfer to your next island visit. Snorkel in crystal clear water among coral reefs and rainbow-colored fishes.
1215HRS – Back to the boat and depart to Gaya Island for lunch before venturing for a swim or simply laze away.
1420HRS – Return to Horizon Hotel for your overnight stay. [Lunch]
Please bring along hat, extra clothing, towel, swimwear, basic toiletries, extra cash, and sunblock lotion.
Day 3 – Orangutan & Sun Bear Sanctuary
Early pickup from Horizon hotel and depart to Kota Kinabalu Airport for your flight to Sandakan (Recommended Flight @07:00HRS). [Packed Breakfast]
On arrival at Sandakan Airport ETA 0800HRS – RECOMMENDED TIME ARRIVAL, transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. We proceed to watch a video show about the plight of the Orang Utans and the rehabilitation efforts ongoing at the Centre. Walk ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden boardwalks to
witness the feeding of the orang utans at 1000hrs, and then we continue to the newly completed enclosed nursery area for young orang utans. Thereafter, visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn about the conservation of the world’s smallest bear.
After lunch, transfer to Sandakan jetty for 21⁄2 hours boat journey to the multi awards winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah’s longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view birds and wildlife. Take an afternoon river cruise in search of wildlife and birds using a boat with hybrid system of outboard and electric motor (depending on river current). Enjoy a scrumptious dinner overlooking the riverbank followed by slide presentation and interpretation by naturalist guide. Stay overnight at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge – Borneo Villa.

Day 4 – Wild Encounters on the Kinabatangan River
Take a 0600hrs morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour along the lodge’s Hornbill Boardwalk with our in-house naturalist. After lunch, join our in-house Orang Utan Talk activity. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. Stay overnight at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge – Borneo Villa. [Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner]
Day 5 – Flight Back To Malaysia
After breakfast, return to Sandakan by boat journey. After lunch, we will proceed to the airport for the 1430HRS flight to Kota Kinabalu.
For those taking the evening flight ETD 1800HRS, we will have a chance to visit Rainforest Discovery Centre. Take a bird’s view of the center from the canopy walk and hanging bridge, and explore the botanical garden, home to various species of flora. Transfer to Sandakan airport for your departure flight. [Breakfast/Lunch]
