Day 1: Jakarta – Pangkalan Bun – Kumai – Tanjung Harapan
Upon your arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport, meet and greet with our staff and guide, then direct transfer to Kumai. It will take about 15–20 minutes by car. Upon your arrival in Kumai, you will be transferred directly to the houseboat. Lunch will be provided on board. Afterward, boating down the Kumai River. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach the Seikonyer River, the main river in Tanjung Puting National Park.
As you cruise up the Seikonyer River, you will see nice vegetation around the river bank: Nipa palm, Pandanus, and some kinds of trees that are growing up around the river. See some wildlife, such as birds, macaques, Proboscis monkeys, and orangutans. If your flight arrives early (before 11.30 AM), you can arrive in time to the rehabilitation center of Tanjung Harapan, where at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the rangers of the national park feed the orangutans, and you can have your first close encounters with them.
Then at 16.00, return back to the boat and continue boating up to observe and learn more about Proboscis monkeys along the river banks. Proboscis monkeys are an endemic animal that can be seen only in Borneo. Dinner and overnight on the Deluxe or Super Deluxe Houseboat.

Day 2: Pondok Tangguy – Camp Leakey
After breakfast, you boat up to Pondok Tanggui, the second rehabilitation center for orangutans. Visit the orangutan feeding at 09.00 AM. Enjoy your time while taking some pictures. Then, at 10 a.m., return back to the houseboat and continue boating up to Camp Leakey. Camp Leakey is the highlight of the National Park. You will be passing by the Black River, which is full of wildlife, such as many kinds of birds, primates, fish, and crocodiles. Lunch will be served by our own cook with a variety of special food.
On arrival in Camp Leakey, you will visit small museum to see all the work of Dr. Birute Galdikas, who studied the orangutan here from 1971 until today. Enjoy your time until 14.00, when you trek up into the forest to see orangutans feeding. Enjoy the time until 16.00, when you return to the boat and boat down directly to the Nipa Palm area to see thousands of fireflies. Dinner and overnight in the houseboat.

Day 3: Kumai – Pangkalan Bun – Semarang – Yogyakarta
In the early morning, we will enjoy the last moments of the sounds of the jungle, before heading to the port, to in turn, be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to Semarang. Arriving at Semarang Airport, our team will be waiting for you and then transfer to your hotel in Yogyakarta (3 hours’ drive). Check in hotel for overnight.
