Luggage ready, today is the day to get to know one of the most important centers of biodiversity in the world and the third largest island on the planet. Borneo!!! After breakfast and at the right time you will have the transfer to the airport to take the direct flight to Pangkalan Bun, on the island of Borneo, or better known by Indonesians as Kalimantan. Upon arrival at the airport your guide will be waiting for you to transfer you to the port of Kumai about 15-20 minutes by car where we will embark on a great adventure! The time of entry to the Boat will be at 11am or earlier if the boat is already available. If your flight arrives early (before 12.00) we can arrive on time at the rehabilitation center of Tanjung Harapan where at 3 pm, the Rangers of the National Park feed the Orangutans and you can have the first close encounters with them.
Tanjung Harapan’s translation is Cape of Hope. This first camp is one of those that has more wetlands and being in the afternoon has more mosquitoes so make sure you get enough mosquito repellent. After visiting this Ranger Camp, you will continue upstream, resting on the boat, while we look for animals in the vicinity of the Sekonyer River. This afternoon it is very common to see groups of proboscis monkeys and macaques in the treetops, jumping from one branch to another, or even to see monitor lizards or crocodiles in the shallow waters of the sides of the river. Get ready for the sunset and enjoy the exquisite food prepared by our jungle crew. The boat moors on the side of the river for the night. Tonight we can take a walk through the jungle to look for nocturnal animals such as snakes, tarantulas or even if we are lucky, we can see luminescent mushrooms or tarsier monkeys.
Lunch: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Accommodation: Klotok
Today you will wake up to the sounds and colors of the jungle. With total security, you will
never forget how you woke up in the river surrounded by this overflowing nature. After an extraordinary breakfast on board, we will go in time to see the Pondok Tangguy at the time of animal feeding (9am) Little by little you will see how the branches of the treetops begin to move and then you will see the silhouettes of the Orangutans arriving little by little to the feeding platform. Tanggui was a camp of release of Young Orangutans that were rehabilitated, and continue to add food every day, to prevent the Orangutans from moving away for lack of food, and end up outside the National Park, with the following risk of falling into traps of villagers or fields of Palm Oil Plantations. After the Orangutans start to leave, you will return again to the Klotok to go even further upstream. You will see how the coloration of the river changes and you will have the opportunity to see crocodiles and large monitor lizards, along with Gibbons and Proboscis Monkeys. And of course, enjoy lunch in the middle of this natural setting. Arriving at Camp Leakey, the old orangutan research and rehabilitation center since 1971, when a student at UCLA Los Angeles named Birutte Galdikas began studying Orangutans there, the name Camp Leaky comes from Birutte’s own professor, Paleananthropologist Louis Leakey.
At least 200 orangutans have already been cured and returned to the jungles thanks to this center, however since 1995, the Government of Indonesia has banned the introduction of more Orangutans in this camp, so the Orangutans are increasingly adapting to freedom. To this day, this camp is used as behavior research and feeding of Orangutans. At 14.00 you can see the feeding time of the Orangutans. You can also visit the small museum made by the scientist Dr. Birute Galdikas. At the end of observing the orangutans in this camp and if time and conditions permit, we will make a gentle hike through the jungle back to the boat to look for orangutans in freedom and other animals, on the way we will have the opportunity to meet from our local guides, some of them born in the jungle, How to search for carnivorous animals or plants or simply, listen to their experience of life in the jungle. The jungles of Borneo, have given life and home to the inhabitants for millions of years, are jungles that under the eyes of the grandparents are able to give everything one needs. Food, water, medicine, yes… Never put anything in your mouth without the recommendation of your guide. In the afternoon, if it does not rain, the ship will dock near a congregation of fireflies and you can enjoy the spectacle of its luminescence.

You will start your route in the direction of the Borobudur Temple (Candi Borobudur) the great Stupa, the largest Buddhist monument in the world and one of the seven wonders. We will tour the temple, observing the hundreds and centennial statues of Buddha and observing how dozens of Buddhists come to preach from all over the world. Historically it was made during the relatively brief Sailendra dynasty of Central Java between 778 and 856 BC and is in constant restoration due to the breaks that the tremors of the neighboring Merapi volcano has been producing during its history. After visiting one of the most important Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia, and in a traditional Javanese horse cart called Andong we will visit the villages surrounding this
temple. They are authentic Javanese villages where culture and tradition are the protagonists.
We will have the opportunity to see the authentic and most traditional Indonesia, we will visit some place where they produce the Keropok, (similar to prawn bread) or we will see some of the places of the town where they meet for ceremonies and they can teach us some of their musical instruments and even the process of Batik, a method of dyeing fabrics unique to that area and that has become the official Indonesian costume. As you spend your days in this country and tour the different islands, you will realize how different Indonesians are from each other in terms of clothing, food, architecture and even language. Today it’s time to learn and share the day with the villagers of Central Java.
Then we will go to Kaliurang / Kalidalem to see Mount Merapi in constant activity. Here in a 4×4 jeep driven by specialized drivers, we will climb its skirt to see the remains of the 2010 eruption such as houses buried by ashes, a multitude of objects paralyzed by lava, etc. In addition, an open-air tribute museum has been improvised presided over by the clock that marks the time just as the lava passed through it. Accompanied by photos of the rescues, it will make us feel very close the experiences of that fateful day. After this day of emotions, we will take you back to your hotel.

The first site will be the Taman Ayun Temple (it was founded in the seventeenth century), located in the Village of Mengwi which until 1891 was the seat of a powerful dating back to the Gelgel Dynasty, which is surrounded by a moat that looks like a landscaped sanctuary, which explains the term taman, or garden. The temple is a penyawangan or place to worship other sacred sites. From Taman Ayun, the compass heads towards Jatiluwih, where we will undoubtedly admire and enjoy a beautiful view of rice terraces that cover the entire landscape of South Bali. The name Jatiluwih is composed of two words, Jati which means truly and Luwih which means beautiful, good, special. Without a doubt, this place not only has a beautiful name but that beauty is really reflected in its landscape.
From Jatiluwih, we will go to Bedugul where we will visit the Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, the famous temple that rises in a small promoter located on the shore of Lake Beratan and has the beautiful landscape with the said lake and the mountain as a background view. We will close the visit on this fantastic route and end the day watching the sunset at the most famous and photographed temple in Bali, the Pura Tanah Lot. Broken from the earth on a stone pedestal sculpted by the incoming tides, the lonely black towers of the Tanah Lot and the plumes of foliage spilled by the cliffs recall the delicacy of Chinese painting. The Pura Tanah Lot or the Temple of Land in the Middle of the Sea was built in the sixteenth century. Then we return
