Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – Arrival
Upon arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, meet & greet and transfer to your hotel. Kuala Lumpur is a bustling metropolis with unique landmarks that are instantly recognisable worldwide. The city’s ability to combine the old with the new creates a delightful contrast which is part of its charming appeal.
One of Asia’s most dynamic cities, Kuala Lumpur is a melting pot of races and cultures brimming with diverse entertainment options, exciting attractions, and a comprehensive transportation system.

Day 2: Kuala Lumpur: City & Country Side Tour
After breakfast, depart for your tour of the day. This tour takes you to the confluence of the Klang & Gombak Rivers, the site of KL’s humble beginning. Move on to view the splendour of the King’s Palace (photo stop) followed by the National Monument at the Lake Gardens, a sprawling 91.6 hectares of immaculate lawns, undulating hills and carefully cultivated gardens, a scene of harmony, beauty & tranquillity both natural and man-made. Proceed to the beautiful National Mosque and drive past the Railway Station to make a stop at Independence Square before the city tour concludes with a photo stop at the centrepiece of KL, the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to your countryside tour. Stop at the Royal Selangor Pewter Factory, where you will be able to see the different processes involved in working with the pewter, including casting, filing, polishing, soldering, hammering, and engraving. You will have the option to purchase any of the pieces that you might fancy. Continue onwards with visit to a local Batik Centre to see how Batik, is produced.
Last stop of the day is the limestone hills of Batu Caves, an outcrop that houses a Hindu Temple. You will need to climb 272 steps to reach the top and the temple. Batu Cave is a famous pilgrimage place for the Hindus during the “Thaipusam” festival. After spending some time here, you will be returned to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Kuala Selangor Fireflies
Free lat leisure in the morning.
At around 3.30pm, depart to Kuala Selangor. On arrival, visit ‘Kota Melawati’, formerly known as ‘Fort Altingsburg’, Royal Mausoleum, ruined Fort and the legendary 100 steps (a fabled execution block). A bird sanctuary park at the foot of Bukit Melawati is an ideal place for bird watchers to watch migrating birds. If lucky, you may spot the Silvered–leaf monkeys, rare species of bird, butterflies, etc. At dusk, proceed for a sumptuous seafood dinner at a fishing village. After dinner, take a boat cruising into the darkness of the quiet night to witness one of nature’s phenomena. As soon as your eyes are well adjusted to the dark, behold to witness rows of flashing Christmas trees along the riverbank! The tiny twinkling orangey lights amongst the mangrove trees are synchronised, rhythmic scintillation produced by thousands of fireflies. Return to Kuala Lumpur afterwards.
Day 4: Kuala Lumpur Labu Sentral – Taman Negara
Early breakfast and check-out by 0730hrs. Overland to Labu Sentral for boat to Taman Negara, departing at 1130hrs. Upon arrival at Mutiara Taman Negara Resort, check-in and register with the National Park and Wildlife Department.
After dinner, at 2030hrs meet your guide at the Resort’s reception for a brief orientation introduction. Enjoy a night jungle walk looking out for nocturnal plants and insects amidst the chorus of the rainforest. Do note, however, sighting of wildlife in the tropical forest due to its density, is a bonus.
Day 5: Taman Negara
After breakfast, enjoy a 1½ hour trek up Teresek Hill and be rewarded with a magnificent view of the tropical rainforest at the top. On a clear day, you can see Mount Tahan, the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. Continue your adventure with a canopy walkway (closed on Friday), built 40 meters above the ground and 530 meters in length. Experience the rainforest from a different perspective, as you get closer to the top of the trees!
This afternoon, take boat ride to the cataracts of Lata Berkoh enjoying the splendid pristine jungle scenery along the way. Swim, relax or read amidst the serene atmosphere. Lunch and dinner at the hotel.
Day 6: Taman Negara – Kuala Tahan – Cameron Highlands
After check-out, cross over to the Kuala Tahan jetty where your driver will be waiting to take you to Cameron Highlands, located 1,542m above sea level and is noted for its tea plantations and cool temperature. Cameron Highlands is one of the most popular highland destinations in Malaysia. The overland journey takes approximately 3-4hours and it will be an interesting journey passing by small towns and scenic views of the rainforests.
Check-in to your staying hotel for check-in, and the rest of the day is at your own leisure.
Day 7: Cameron Highlands: Mount Brinchang Mossy Forest & Tea Plantation
Enjoy your drive to Mount Brinchang, the highest peak (6,666ft.) in Cameron Highlands and experience the tropical and mossy rainforest through a boardwalk, an interpretive walk into the Mossy Forest will reveal some of the most of unique forest flora of this mountain like the carnivorous Pitcher Plant, primitive Ferns, wild Orchids, Ti trees & Rhododendrons.
Cruise down the hill to view the most scenic tea plantation, the Sungai Palas Boh estate, said to be the largest tea station in the region. Learn the art of tea making in the factory (factory is closed on Mon & public holidays). Continue to Butterfly Farm, Cactus Point, and explore a day market where most of the local produce can be found. Return to the hotel, and the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 8: Cameron Highlands – IPOH – Penang
Early set-off to Georgetown, Penang. En-route stop in Ipoh to visit one the many well known Ipoh’s cave temples. Continue onwards up north to Penang.
Cross over to Penang via one the longest bridges in South East Asia. Check-in to your staying hotel and at leisure. In the evening, proceed to Gurney Drive and free to walk along the hawker stall to enjoy the food and to see how the foods are being prepared. Return to hotel afterwards and overnight.
Day 9: Georgetown City & Heritage Tour
Breakfast will be taken at the hotel.
At 0900hrs, meet up with your driver guide and proceed with Georgetown City & Heritage Tour; enlightenment of Penang’s past & its existing multi-culture, highlighting on its colonial past, British & Chinese settlement. The early settlement was established around the harbour with Fort Cornwallis forming the island’s defense. Continue to Chew Jetty- the formerly Chinese fishermen’s houses on stilts. Walk along Little India to see how they had survived in their trades of yester years and thrive today in the modern world.
The Pinang Peranakan Museum unfolds the lifestyle of the Baba/Nonya found only in the Straits Settlements that comprised of Penang, Malacca & Singapore around 1832. Visit the Khoo Kongsi, one of the most distinctive Chinese clan associations in Malaysia. The tour will also take you to the 4th longest reclining Thai Buddhist Temple in the world.
After the tour, proceed for lunch at the famous Blue Mansion. Return to your hotel after the tour and at leisure.
Day 10: Penang – Langkawi by flight
Breakfast will be taken at the hotel and checkout.
Check-out and transfer to Penang Airport for your onward flight to Langkawi. Upon arrival at Langkawi Airport, meet with your driver and transfer to Airport. Check-in and the rest of the day is at your own leisure.
Day 11 – 13: Langkawi Island – Free day
Meals will be taken at the resort. Rest of the day at leisure and own activities.
