Day 1 – 5: Arrival In Cape Town
Upon arrival at the airport, collect your rental car and drive to your accommodation. Spend the first day settling in and in the evening, head to the V&A Waterfront for a stroll and dinner at one of the family-friendly restaurants.
On the second day, visit Table Mountain, take the cable car to the top for panoramic views, and explore the hiking trails. In the afternoon, relax at Clifton or Camps Bay beaches or visit the Zeitz MOCAA museum for its interactive exhibits.
On the third day, take a scenic drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Visit Hout Bay for a boat trip to Seal Island, then head to Cape Point and the lighthouse. Don’t miss the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, followed by a picnic at a nearby beach.
On the fourth day, explore Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Let the kids enjoy the open spaces while you take in the plant life and mountain views. After lunch, visit Groot Constantia Wine Estate, where adults can enjoy a wine tasting while the kids explore the grounds.
Day 5 – 6: Hermanus
After breakfast check out from the accommodation and start your drive to Hermanus. Hermanus is a charming coastal town known for its stunning natural beauty and outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy whale watching from the cliffs along the scenic coastal path, particularly from June to November when Southern Right Whales are in the area. In the evening visit the waterfront offering delicious seafood restaurants, and a relaxing, laid – back atmosphere.
Day 6 – 7: Marine Boat Tour / Drive to Gondwana Private Game Reserve
This morning check-out of your hotel and start your day with a marine diversity tour which gives you the chance to see whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, and the endangered African penguin. From January to May, you may encounter Humpback and Brydes whales, while from June to December, the majestic Southern Right Whales.

Day 7 – 9: Game Drives

Afterward, head to Tsitsikamma National Park to marvel at its lush forest, dramatic coastline, and adventure activities like canopy tours or the famous Storms River Mouth. Don’t miss the iconic Bloukrans Bridge for a chance to watch bungee jumpers or take in the scenic views.
Day 12: Departure
After breakfast, check out from accommodation and head to the airport to start your journey back to Malta.
