Vaattunki Resort Christmas

Day 1: Welcome to the City of Santa Claus – Rovaniemi!

Flight to Rovaniemi, operated by Air Malta. Short transfer from Rovaniemi Airport to Vaattunki Wilderness Resort. 

Day 2: Thrill of Speed 

In the morning, enjoy the surrounding nature and the sledge ride in silence. Stop for a break in the wilderness and take photos. We drive two persons per team, but there is a possibility to change the driver along the way. The length of the trail is approx. 45-60 min and 7-10 km.

Day 3: Christmas Day

In the afternoon, experience an authentic reindeer safari! Sit comfortably in a sleigh and lay back, take photos of the nature around you and listen to the sounds of the reindeer caravan. Reindeer herders have prepared us coffee with a cinnamon bun on a campfire and share with us his stories of the reindeer.

Day 4: Snowmobile Safari / Aurora Borealis Picnic

In the morning, embark on a snowmobile adventure. It offers you a fantastic opportunity to discover the beautiful Arctic nature in total silence! Driving on the frozen lake and through the snow-clad forest, we get to see the rising sun turn the wilderness into a vista of glistening white. You will enjoy a nice break by fire camp in a cozy wooden kota. Where you will grill some sausages with the help of our guide. 

In the evening, experience an Aurora Borealis Picnic. Our guide will drive you out of the city reaching the perfect spots offering us the best open sky vision to enjoy a Lappish picnic – hopefully under the Auroras. Transfers by car or bus.

DAY 5: Bye Bye Lapland! 

It is time to say bye-bye to Lapland, the magical home of Santa! Take the last deep breaths of fresh air and Christmas spirit into your mind and start your journey back to home. Direct flight to Malta operated by Air Malta.
