Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok
Land at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International airport. Progress to the Arrivals Hall and towards the Meeting Point, our Asia Bespoke guide will be waiting for you at “Exit B – Door 6” and transfer to the hotel for check-in, rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Bangkok City Tour
Begin the city tour by visiting the most significant landmarks, ‘The Grand Palace” which also hosts the breath-taking temple is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha: Wat Phra Kaew. Not far from the Grand Palace is Wat Pho known for its giant reclining Buddha that measures 46 metres long and is covered in real gold leaf.
After lunch take a water taxi to visit the legendary Wat Arun, also known as The Temple of Dawn. It
is one of the most striking riverside landmarks of Thailand because of its architecture and fine
craftsmanship. After this, you will navigate Asia’s “Venice of the East” by a long tail boat.
In the morning after breakfast depart to Romhub Market – a wet market which is located right along the railway line. Then continue driving to Kanchanaburi town where you visit some sightseeing places including the famous Bridge over the River Kwai – The Death Railway earned its name from the sheer number of lives lost during its construction. Also visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum – an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway.
Day 4: Kanchanaburi – Overland Transfer to Ayutthaya
Drive to Ayutthaya around 2.5 hours drive. On the way, a stop is made at Bang Pa In palace which was used by the kings of Thailand as their summer residence. The design of the palace is very European.
After lunch we head to a UNESCO World Heritage site of Ayutthaya and explore the ancient ruin that
once was the capital city of Thailand. Here you will find a giant sitting Buddha statue at Wat Prananchoeng and the famous leaning Chedi at Wat Chai Mongkol.
Day 5: Ayuttaya – Overland Transfer to Sukhotai
After breakfast overland transfer to Sukhotai – around 6 hrs drive with several stops on the way. Upon arrival to Sukhotai transfer to the hotel for check-in and then enjoy free leisure time.
Day 6: Sukhotai
After breakfast depart for “Sukhotai Historical Park Tour” – discover ruins of the royal palaces,
Buddhist temples, the city gates, walls, moats, dams, ditches, ponds, canals, and the water dyke control
system, which were the magical and spiritual center of the kingdom and UNESCO declared it a World
Heritage Site in December 1991. The park covers the ruins of the ancient glorious Sukhothai Kingdom.
Day 7: Sukhotai – Overland Transfer to Chiang Mai
After breakfast overland transfer to Chiang Mai – around 6 hrs drive with several stops on the way. Upon arrival to Chiang Mai transfer to the hotel for check-in and free at leisure
Day 8: Chiang Mai – Elephant Camp Visit
Enjoy the highlight of your trip “Full Day Adventure at Elephant Camp”. This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 hrs by minivan. We will stop at the local fresh market; here you can find fruit for the elephants. After we will go up the hill to visit the elephant camp. Our staff will explain to you about elephants and activities. They will also suggest how to make friends with an elephant. We start the program by feeding fruits to them and playing with them. Treatment by the mud spa and bathe them on the small river.
Day 9: Chiang Mai – Overland Transfer to Chiang Rai
On the way we will stop to visit the beautiful white and Blue temples. Wat Rong Khun is a unique
temple that stands out through the white colour and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in
the sun. The white colour signifies the purity of the Buddha, while the glass symbolises the Buddha’s
wisdom and the Dhamma, the Buddhist teachings.
Day 10: Chiang Rai – Departure
Free at leisure until departure to Chiang Rai Airport.
