Our Romantic Escape to Mexico
For our honeymoon, we knew we wanted to explore Central or South America, but we weren’t sure which destination would be the best fit. That’s where Pierina’s expertise came in. She recommended Mexico, and it turned out to be the perfect choice—it offered everything we were looking for: stunning nature, rich culture, incredible food, and the right balance of relaxation and adventure.
Choosing the Perfect Destination
The planning process was seamless and very collaborative. Pierina carefully considered our budget, travel style, and wishlist experiences. She provided us with many thoughtful suggestions, and together we shaped the final itinerary. Her knowledge and experience were evident throughout, and her guidance gave us great peace of mind, especially since this was our first long-haul trip so far from home. An Unforgettable Itinerary Across Mexico
Mexico exceeded all our expectations. We started our adventure in Mexico City, where we immersed ourselves in the local food scene with a guided tour and even took a spectacular hot-air balloon ride over the ruins of Teotihuacán. After a few days here, we traveled to the Yucatán Peninsula, where we experienced a completely different, more tropical atmosphere. In Mérida and Valladolid, we enjoyed vibrant nightlife, explored and swam in incredible natural caves (called cenotes) and continued enjoying typical Mexican dishes like the various types of tacos, guacamole, enchiladas and many more. Of course, no trip to Mexico would have been complete without a visit to the Chichén Itzá, one of the 7 Wonders of the World. From there, we made our way to Playa del Carmen for our final stop—a perfect ending to our journey. With beautiful beaches and time to relax by the pool, it gave us the chance to fully unwind before returning home to Malta.
