Day 1: Bogota
Bogota is the capital city of Colombia and is where the past and present meet. Along with its greenery, it has colors of modern buildings and authentic colonial roof tiles making it an ideal location with history, entertainment, delicious cuisine and rich culture.
Take a tour around the city to discover its historic attractions and touristic places like the neighborhood of La Candelaria.
Day 2: Bogota
Today discover the region outside Bogota by visiting the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira. The cathedral is also an architectural wonder, built in the caverns and tunnels.
Day 3: Pereira
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Bogota airport for your flight to Pereira.
Day 4: Cocora Valley, Salento and Filandia
In the morning, visit Cocora Valley where you walk under the highest wax palms in the world, going up to the mountain to meet up with the mysterious cloud forests.
In the afternoon, visit Filandia. At the end of the day, walk through the charming streets of Salento, the main street, the square and its viewpoints.
Day 5: Cacao Plantation and Marsella
You will be full immersed in the coffee lands, with viewpoints to discover the these mountains, the taste of fruits with the finest organic chocolate. Walk among the cacao plantation, feel the sweet taste of mucilage in the mouth and mix it with oranges, tangerines and aromatic plants. You will have lunch at the farm. Then, be part of the chocolate process, taking seeds, roasting and melting them for a delicious chocolate cream, from which you can make your favourite sweet or drink.
Day 6: Forest and Waterfall in Pereira
Today, near the Otún Quimbaya Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, next to the Otún River, where different species of biodiversity are protected, nature amazes us with a spring water fall that from 70 meters high forms a refreshing breeze that links the body and mind, where you also live an enriching experience of environmental interpretation. After walking the trails of this forest for 3 hours, return back to the starting point of the tour where lunch will be served.
Day 7: Coffee Tour Plantation – Medellin – Guatape
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and depart to visit a coffee plantation before your flight to Medellin.
At Finca del Café coffee tour in Santa Rosa de Cabal, near the city of Pereira, you’ll walk through beautiful coffee plantations trails and learn about the coffee process.
Day 8: Tour of Guatape and Piedra Del Penol
Breakfast at the hotel. Then you will depart for a guided tour of Guatape and visit the Piedra del Penol.
Day 9: Medellin – Santa Maria
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. You will then be picked up and visit the city of Medellin before being dropped off at the airport for your flight to Santa Marta.
Day 10: Santa Maria
Transfer from Santa Marta airport to your hotel
Day 11: Tayrona National Park
You will then depart to Tayrona National Park. After a drive of 1 ½ hrs, you will arrive at the entrance of Zaino, there the entire entry process is done from where you then reach the cane field. From this point another 2 ½ hr walk to Cape San Juan. Along the trek, the guide will indicate where it will be possible to swim within the national park.
Day 12: Santa Marta – Cartagena
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by car to Cartagena.
Day 13: Rosario Islands
Today you will be spending a day at Rosario Islands. A guide will pick you up from your hotel and accompany you on foot to the Bodeguita Pier. Here he will assist you to embark on the speedboat that will take you to the island. Once on the island you will have free time to bath in the sea. As optional activities, these can be booked once on the island like snorkelling, kayaking or visiting the San Martin de Pajarales Aquarium.
Day 14 & 15: Cartagena
